Magdalena MMXIV was an open call to photographers and mixed media artists to reimagine Mary Magdalene. Our jurors this year were Genevieve Fussell, Photo Editor of THE NEW YORKER; Mimi Schippers, Gender & Sexuality Studies at TULANE UNIVERSITY; and Alexa Arroyo, Art Historian at UNIVERSITY OF NEW ORLEANS.

Magdalena MMXIII was an open call to photographers and mixed media artists to reimagine Mary Magdalene. Our jurors this year were Michelle Magdalena Maddox, photographer from California; and Joshua Mann Pailet, owner of A Gallery of Fine Photography in New Orleans.

On the 2nd floor of International House Hotel is the permanent Magdalena Gallery of images collected over the years from our annual call to artists.
